More than 1150 researchers (from the Faculty of Medicine of the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS are involved in basic, translational and clinical research with the goal of finding the best personalized therapies for each individual affected by widely spread diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular, metabolic and neurological diseases, without neglecting rare diseases and the development of drugs aimed at treating these diseases. Designs, implements and conducts cross-cutting research activities and, in particular, within the accredited subject areas.
