There are more than 1150 researchers, coming from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the Catholic University and from the Agostino Gemelli IRCCS University Hospital Foundation of Rome, who are working on basic and translational research with the aim of finding the best personalized treatments for each person affected from widespread diseases (such as tumors, cardiovascular, metabolic and neurological diseases) and from rare diseases. Their work also includes the development of drugs intended for the treatment of these diseases.
