Pick-up at the window
Laboratory, Radiology and Cardiology test results must be picked up at the UOS “Administrative Registration Services, CUP and URP” windows located on the 3rd floor, wing F:
- Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm
- Saturday from 7:30 am from 12:00 pm
Test results are given directly to the interested person provided that he or she has the payment receipt and an identification document; patients can delegate a third person who must show, in addition to the payment receipt, the following documents:
- Proxy authorization form signed by the interested party or entitled person
- Copy of the interested party’s, or entitled person’s, signed identification document
- Proxy’s identification document
The information service for Laboratory, Radiology and Cardiology test results is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the following number 06 3015.4863 – Fax 06 3015.6667.
At the UOS “Administrative Registration Services, CUP and URP” windows it is possible to pick up:
- Laboratory Results, with the exceptrion of:
- HIV Test Results
Must be picked up at the Infectious Diseases Day Hospital located at the CEMI, 1st floor wing S, Monday to Saturday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm. For patients under the age of 18 the proxy authorization form signed by both parents or legal guardian is necessary.
- Histological, Biopsy, Pap Test, Genetic, Molecular Biological test results
Must be picked up at the pertaining Out-patient facility/Laboratory/Day Hospital
- HIV Test Results
- Radiology Test Results, after 7 working days from when the test was carried out
- Copies of radiology tests, after 5 working days from the request date
- Cardiology test results
- Urea Breath Test
- Test results from the blood transfusion Center
Pick-up via e-mail
It is possible to request, during the administrative registration, that Laboratory test results be sent via e-mail. It is possible to request such procedure only for Laboratory test results with the exclusion of test results from the Blood Transfusion Center, HIV tests and Histological, Biopsy, Pap Test, Genetic and Molecular Biology test results.

Test results sent via e-mail can be viewed only through Windows Systems XP/7/8/10 with Acrobat Reader. Here are the instructions to properly view the test result:
- Log into your e-mail inbox.
- Open the e-mail and download the attached file (save it on your desktop or in another folder).
- Click on the saved file twice to open it.
- Enter the password: it is the APPOINTMENT CODE (alphanumeric code in capital letters) indicated in the upper left-hand corner on the payment receipt given upon registering.
- On the page that will appear, click on the “paperclip” symbol to open the envelope containing the test result.
- Click on “Attachment” to view the test result.
Pick-up via regular mail
It is possible to request, during the administrative registration, that Laboratory and Radiology test results be sent by mail.
Laboratory test results are sent via priority mail and are free. To receive additional information about receiving laboratory test results via priority mail, the following number is available 06 3015.4863 Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Radiology test results are sent via registered mail with payment upon delivery. To receive additional information, the following number is available 06 3015.4462 Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Pick-up is at the windows on the Presidio Columbus’ -2 floor:
- Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
- Friday from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm
Pick-up via e-mail or regular mail
- To receive information about test results requested via e-mail write to the following address: : refertionline-columbus@policlinicogemelli.it
- Regular mail: the mailing request must be made during the administrative registration using the appropriate form
- Exceptions:

Pick-up is at the windows on the Presidio Columbus’ -2 floor:
- Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm

Request for test copies
Hospitalization test copies
The request for copies is made using the appropriate form and paying 15 Euros at the administrative registration windows
Out-patient test copies
The test result must be picked up within 60 days from the date the test was done. After 60 days, the request for copies is made by using the appropriate form and paying 15 Euros at the administrative registration windows
Test results for cancer patients
Cancer patients treated at the Policlinico Gemelli do not have to pick up test results since they can be viewed and printed by doctors on the Fondazione’s medical reporting system. Patients who need a copy can request it at the pick-up window.
